June 29, 2021The PTCB CPhT certification is an important certification to getting a job as a pharmacy technician. This test measures knowledge and commitment to medical safety, this knowledge is crucial to work in a pharmacy.
According to PTCB.org these are the eligibility requirements in order to take the test:
- Reside in the United States of America of its territories
- Completion of a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program or equivalent work experience
- Full disclosure of all criminal and State Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure actions
- Compliance with all applicable PTCB Certification policies
- Passing score on the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam® (PTCE®)
To take this test, there is a cost of $129 each time the test is taken.
It is important to invest time into studying material prior to the test to ensure a better test score. There are different study programs and books available to guide your learning leading up to the exam.
