With this new pill, ideally, the amount of deaths and hospitalizations are decreased – the pill will be designed to lessen the severity of any sort of virus.
The COVID-19 death toll has surpassed 600,000 as of this week, and the Antiviral Program for Pandemics plan aims to prevent this large of an outbreak again. This is a ground-breaking innovation that could pay off major dividends in the future. This might be the best news to come out of this pandemic so far. As of right now, there are very few treatments for viruses that have pandemic potential, so this is really good news for people across the world.
