During the brutal times of COVID, there seemed to be a lack of nurses and rooms available for patients in different cities across America. There was a temporary demand for nurses, and especially ER nurses. But, what other positions in the medical industry in demand right now? According to Nebraska Methodist College, the following list contains the top 9 jobs that are in demand in the medical field right now.
- Physical Therapist Assistant – 26% growth rate
- Medical Assistant – 23% growth rate
- Respiratory Therapist – 21% growth rate
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – 19% growth rate
- Healthcare Manager – 18% growth rate
- Cardiovascular Sonographer – 14% growth rate
- Registered Nurse – 12% growth rate
- Radiologic Technologist – 9% growth rate
- Surgical Technologist – 9% growth rate
Certainly, this is not to say there are not other jobs in the medical field that are in demand, but as of August 2020, these jobs had the highest growth rates.
