Should We Be Worried About The Bird Flu? (H10N3)

A man in China contracted a rare strain of the bird flu and placed in the Hospital in late April. He has recently been released from the Hospital and is in stable condition. Just over a year after COVID-19 took over the world, this is certainly not the news anybody wants to be hearing. But to ease your worries, this is not the first case of the bird flu. The Wall Street Journal states, “Human infections with bird-flu viruses are rare but not uncommon” which means this has been contained and minimized before. The case was diagnosed in April and still is the only case reported so far.

There is not much reason to worry. Certainly, the chances of another wide-spread, pandemic sized outbreak is unlikely.
